Porlock Open Gardens Weekend 2022
Keen gardeners will be showing off their green-fingered talents as they take part in the annual Porlock Open Gardens Weekend.
This year’s event, which takes place on Saturday 21st May and Sunday 22nd May from 2-6pm, will give visitors the chance to explore gardens of all styles and sizes across the village.
There are many gardens open, all offering a chance for you to visit gardens which would not normally be open to the public.
This year is focused on Outer Porlock with gardens open along Bossington Lane, West Porlock and Porlock Weir.
There are a wonderful variety of gardens from large wild gardens and gardens featuring unusual trees and shrubs. You can also view terraced gardens, gardens with ponds, gardens with water features and gardens with stunning views over the sea and moorland.
Please do come along and see the gardens but also take time to visit the many unique shops, pubs and tearooms in Porlock.
Plants will be available for sale at the old School Building.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the running of Porlock Visitor Centre.
Weekend tickets cost £7.50 per person – sorry but no dogs are permitted - and are available from Porlock Visitor Centre, Gift and Candy and SPAR.
